I recently searched the internet for a supplier of "Electrochromic film" commonly known as "Smart-film". It is a tint-like film that can be applied to windows that can go from clear to opaque with an electrical current.

I personally want to use this for an HUD project I am working on but others can use it for security tinting (when car is off, by wiring the tint into the fusebox extra port that has power when ignition is on) or other purposes.

Over the past 2 weeks, I tried contacting about 12 different leads claiming that they supplied the product, only one has replied thus far. Here is a copy of the email they sent.

Really nifty but at 120$/cubic foot, it's a bit too pricey. (6x6" is .25ft^2.)
