I didn't say to buy them off of Crutchfield. I said go there. Look at the specs and reviews and compare prices. Find the combo you like and shop elsewhere. Crutchfield is way overpriced.

This also isn't a real tech question. You would have been best served posting here.

YOu might want to ask a mod to move it for you.

Listen to Grumble, find the speakers your looking for or something similar on Crutchfield. Then take that search to eBay or Amazon which is your best bet for proven speakers and attractive cost...should easily be able to pick up a pair of Infinity Kappas for the front and rear.

Or... You can go to West Coast Auto Sound off Oso Pkwy right before the Best Buy there on the right.

I'm no car audio expert, but a set of 6X9 and 6.5 coax"...I'd look at Hertz audio. They make some good stuff, and their entry stuff will run about $300 for what you requested.

I'm running 6.5" components up front, and four 5.25" in the rear (gathers), and I love the setup. Solid mids and good highs without sounding bright.

But if you want "bass," I'd get a small sub. 5.25, 6.5, 6x9 can only push so much air.

I'm guessing they're pretty decent for the price. Infinity used to be pretty big in the late 90's with their Reference and Kappa lineup. For the price, they might be worth considering.

Remember that some components sound their best coupled with an amp, and might not sound good with just a head unit. The Hertz components I have don't require an amp and still sound good.

1)each of your speaker's link specs were....
6.5 = 75 rms, 67Hz - 21kHz
6x9 = 110 rms, 35 - 30000 Hz [bass is 20 -250 Hz]
but your head unit only produces: Less than 20 watts x 4 rms

In order for the speakers potential, you need an amplifier.
...but it is not that bad if you don't listen to loud deafening music.

If you like deep bass, you will want to add a sub setup as "Transporter99" recommended.
As the specs indicated, the quality should be good

This is the general site, as a direct link isn't available. Go to products, "Dieci" line, "system", "DSK 165". I spent $180 for these last year. This was a perfect price for a Civic. Didn't want to cheap out, but didn't want to spend hundreds on a set of components for an 18 y/o daily driver either.

Amp-wise, I'd check a site like crutchfield for more info. But you'll need a good 4-channel or 5-channel amp (if you want to add a small sub later).

is this worth it? or can you guys find a much cheaper and better amp? and will an amp make a difference?

I'll leave you with this (I'm on east coast time, and tired) when looking for amps make sure you get one with good RMS power, and not just peak power. Advertising suckers in audio newbies with "Max power" or "peak power." Those descriptions represent the maximum power output that the amp rarely reaches, and won't necessarily give you great sound unless at insane volumes (which is stupid). RMS power is continuous power to the speakers. THAT's what you want for great sound. The Hertz speakers I showed have an RMS power handling of 80w, and peak of 160w. So finding an amp around those numbers (but particularly the RMS power) is critical to get the most vibrant sound system.

keep shopping around for good prices, and good luck.

you wont get much bass at all from a 6x9 or a 6.5....one 8inch sub would put those to shame.
get some decent speakers for the doors and back and put in a small sub....you will thank me later.
