Default Sony Faceplate

Not really a stereo person here...

I have a Sony CDX-M7810.

I'm looking for a faceplate with a usb port so I can plug in my iPod. If I buy a faceplate with usb port, will the faceplate fit? I don't wanna change the whole system.

you have to change the whole headunit for it to work, face plates are programmed to work with the stereo they came with you cant just switch em out

Im pretty certain that isnt going to work. Your radio has a aux input, why dont you just use that.

get a aux cord from radioshack for like $3. Plug it into the faceplate and your ipod like headphones. use your ipod like you would when listening through headphones. easier to find music through the actual ipod imo.

Go to this site. http://www.xplodsony.com/xplod/accessories/XA-300. This would probably be a better alternative. It also has a usb jack as well as several other ways to do inputs.
