Default sony explod radio

i recently sold my alpine and bought this:

its a sony explod CDX-R3300S it plays mp3s

the reason i CHOSE it was the lack of bright light

i can fold down the shuuter at night and only see some very evil looking red lights on the outer of the radio

it only has one pre out and is low on features, just an eq and different 'pop' 'rock' etc nothing special

but to me it sounded great compared to the alpine which was feature full and had 3 outs

am i just stupid

signal/noise ratio is a very small part of SQ and not something that should be a deciding fact.

is what I think of them but you may like them. In my experience everyone I have heard has sounded like **** but I haven't heard one of the new ones yet and my other experience is that Sony stuff seems to die prematurely. It sucks becaused the used to make pretty good stuff and good HU's then the Explod line came a long and it all went down the drain.
