Default Sony Cd Player Skipping

if a cd has a slight scratch, my sony cd player will skip like crazy

however, none of these cd's skip in my home audio system

whats the deal?

well it looks like a relatively new model. i would just run a laser cleaning disc through it and see if that helps.

thats a great head unit. dont even worry about it, just take it back from where you bought it from and get a brand new one. and see what happens. take advantage of it being brand new and use the warranty..

i had the same headunit, same problem with mine, even skipped on brand new cd's... also my friend has the same unit, same problem with his. And my brother has the same unit, same problem there too... its not just yours but everyone with the same model has this problem.
