Default some ideas

I have just registered and would like to share my ideas with you all, even though tekken can pretty much take care of it all.

I would say that since you have a Prestige alarm installed in your car. That might be the problem. My freind has one in his car and it would take close to five secounds until the transmitter (remote) will communicate with the reciever (alarm in car). He would press the button to unlock the door and it would take for ever to unlock.... If you are unable to turn off the alarm with the remote ( no communication). You would need to re-program the remote to your alarm. You would need to see the instructions on how to re-program your alarm. I want to say that you might need to put your key to the on position without turning the car on and press the remote button and when you do that it should automatically chirp and blink the lights. if not..... look to see what you would need to do to re-program the remote to your alarm.

for the best alarm out in the market teken pretty much explained it.

I just want to add that no matter what alarm you get make sure it is a two way alarm system. a remote that will page you if the alarm goes off, and tells you the satus of your car.....door locked, unlocked, if the car is running, if the trunk or door is opened. I personaly have a Compustar it is Great. two-way communication system with a 1/4 mile range. That makes me fell more secure.

One more thing......The install is one of the most important things about a alarm. That will effect the performance and response time of your alarm, also the range.
