Default small case gm alternator

I have been told people upgrade their honda alternators with GM alternators. I have been trying to find info on this to no avail. Can anyone give me details or a link to information on this. I want to upgrade my CRX alternator. Do i need a custom bracket? where do i find the right gm alt.? Am I going to have to redo any wiring? ect.
Thanks

never heard or seen it done. You would have to rewire your engine harness to get it to work. Try out http://www.tsunamionline.com/ . They have direct replacement for your car. They are brand new and come with a good warrenty. I use them with no problems. Or you can yank your stock and have it rewrapped. I say get one thats rebuilt for the job so it does not burn up. There are other good companies out there. I used these before and they work great too http://www.highoutputalternator.com/index.htm. There is anthor company that my co worker has on his car its from exssive or so. I'll find there site for you. Its a good company too.
