Default Simple question

Does a sound system (amp, subs) cause performance issues with an integra? Does it cause it to idle differently or anything? Sorry for the dumb question. I just want to know if it will cause any performance issues if I decide to get an amp and a sub.

personally, having a 1200 watt kicker amp plus two alipne type R subs (12"), I have not noticed any decrease in performance, other than the weight issue. That's me personally. so, I guess the answer to your question is no, it does not adversley affect the performance of the car, other than the weight issue. Anyways, you can turn most amps off when you pull the subs to do "agressive" driving, so that electrical energy would not be lost anyways.

Not unless you're drawing INSANE amounts of current from your alternator. So, basically, no.

Yea it will add a lot of unwanted weight to the car....

I had 3 10s in a box and it probably weighs 60-75 lbs.
