Silly Question
I'm pretty sure that this is a silly question, but I don't much care for the chirp noise that my present alarm makes. This comes from the brain and is just played through the siren, kinda like a speaker connected to the stereo, correct? Is there any way to change the sound to a different chirp other than changing alarm brands?
Avitel... it chirps twice for arm and once for disarm... that is odd since my last alarm was the opposite. Besides, I don't care for the tone of the chirp.

hook up two at once they wil counteract each other it makes a really different sound and when they hit the same decibel at once it peircing if you are near the hood.
you can either silent arm it (then u dont have to hear it), let it auto arm (then u dont have to hear it), change the siren (then u get a different tone)... I don't see how the arm/disarm chirps/tones would bother you.. but I suppose if they do.. either silent arm or change sirens...
I had it auto-arming, but kept locking my keys in the car when I'd stop to get gas... so now I silent arm it. The chirps are just a bit too drawn out... to me it sounds more like a honk or beep than a chirp... I guess it's hard to describe, but they drag on more than I want... plus it chirps louder than I want... it's not like I want everyone in the town to hear that I armed it, but I don't mind it being loud when it goes off. Finally, the alarm I had on my old car chirped once for armed and twice for disarmed... this is the opposite and it drives me buggy. Is this anything that a different siren unit would alter or does it just change the tone a bit like one speaker brand vs another?
