Default signal range enhancer

anyone knows what is the range for the clifford rs3? i'm not sure, but i thought i read from somewhere that it's only a quarter of a mile. can someone tell me what is a quarter mile in ft units?

i saw the range extender from dei's site. it's an accessory antenna, but does it really work or not? is it an add-on antenna to the current one or do i have to replace it? if using this add-on/replacement antenna, what is the range gonna be? i'm looking for something/some way that would increase the range distance for the signal. thanks.

Yeah, its like a 1/4 mile.... if you have to park father then that away, there should be enouth people around to hear your alarm. If your in any kind of brick building though, dont expect much.

the range extender is for the alarms/keyless units that use a wire antenna. most of the remote starts and viper alarm's come with the "Extender" already included.. it's the type that gets stuck to the windshield.

Also, as for the 1/4 mile range.. that's going to be optimal. Weaker remote battery, objects in way, ect will decrease the range quite a bit.
