Default Shock Sensor mounting location

Aww...Search is down
Where is a good place to mount the shock sensor for my compustar?

I want to mount as much as I can before taking it in for the wiring so they charge me as little as possible (I planned on mounting the brain behind the cluster).

Mount it anywhere that's accessible so you can adjust it when you need to....

What's your manual say on where to mount it or to which surface you should mount it? I know DEI says to wire tie it to a main harness.. Not sure about Compustar...

doesnt say
compustar is seriously into having them professionally installed, rather than owner installed

Doesn't really make sense to not put it in the manual... I mean, how do they expect the dealers to know where to mount it for proper operation if they don't put it in the manual...

Anyways... With Viper alarms, they want the shock sensor tightly ziptied to a main wiring harness for best results. But others want it screwed to metal somewhere under the dash.

Does the sensor have mounting flanges on it for screws? If so, screw her down. If not, well, try ziptying it. :shrugs:

well...its got both screws and a tie
I like the idea of the harness, maybe I'll try that first and if I dont like it, I'll put it somewhere else later

for DEI alarms such as cliffords and vipers... they want you to zip tie the shock sensor to a harness that will jiggle when the car gets hit
