Default Security Issues/ vandalism/ stealing

Sup,
First my moms back window on her van gets broken, EXACTLY one month later all happened on the 10th, well my back window gets broken and my head unit and my gift from my gf is gone! I need a good security system that will protect my audio and performance parts. i want something with a nice remote start, i ALREADY SEARCHED, not good info. I want the type of alarm system in which something gets within 1.5 - 2 ft it warns them, etc. i need a good alarm system, although i dont know **** about alarms. someone introduce me please.... its a 5th gen prelude by the way. thanks

I have an audiovox aps-996 remote paging alarm. It's nice, actually I think it's discontinued, but it only works in certain areas. It helps to layer your securities though, and an alarm wouldn't hurt. Search "alarm" on google or e-bay or something... u'll find lots.

Alarm/starters with 2way vibrating remotes with huge range.
Add a two stage "radar" sensor, [ alarm has input for warn a way and full alarm] and you are there. 94

Compustar alarms are GARBAGE. Be smart when shopping for a security system. DEI AKA Directed Electronics Inc. makes the best and best backed alarms in the world period. (Viper, Clifford, Python etc) Check out their website at http://www.directed.com. They have multiple systems to suite your needs. Sounds like you would also be interested in their prox. sensor model #508D.

Just my 2 cents

I have the perfect solution for you. I know your car is precious so you want the best. I feel the same about my 2001 integra gsr. What you want to get is a viper 791xv. It has good range 1/4 mile, remote starts, and a pager. You would also have to buy an additional accesory, motion sensor($40-$50). The motion sensor is what makes the alarm go off when you get to a certain distance. It's fully adjustable, same go for your shock sensor which is included with the alarm package. I highly recommend this setup, also buy a club for the clutch. Better safe than sorry. I just installed a viper 690xv, same as the 791xv except is doesn't have the remote starts feature( i don't want to take chances with my manual GSR). I also bought the motion sensor. So far the setup is great. Just a tip for you, stay with the installer when he sets your sensors so that you can tell him how sensitive you want it. MOst of the time they use the factory setting, and i don't think that is enough.
