Security guru's please read
I remember when I was younger some auto security systems included a small plug that was usually(and idiotically) right under the dash which would disable the car unless the terminator plug was plugged in. Why did this stop? Was this technology disproven somehow? I was thinking of doing something similar except having it on the distributor, fuel pump and the AC power coming from the ignition switch when it's turned on. I've also been thinking about putting a pressure switch on my seat so that if the key is on and there is a 50lb loss in weight on the drivers seat(If I get up since I weigh alot more than 50lbs) then I have 1 minute to hit a hidden button or the fuel pump and distributor are killed. I read the writeup about hiding things in either the factory harnesses or in a split wireloom that is taped up which I found helpful and I will follow, does this sound like a good deterrent for getting your car back after a car jacking?
They didn't stop as far as I can tell. Stupid dealerships put them in along with their crap *** Karr alarms. And they're a joke. I always remove them and throw them in the trash when I install an alarm.
When you say "distributer" I think you mean "ignition wire".
You're going to great lengths to do something that can be bought off the shelf. I'm not trying to discourage you, I'm just saying that a lot of alarms have car jack protection built in that you can enable by turning that particular feature on.
Keep up with the creative ideas. Creativity is a car thieves worst enemy.
