Default Running Radar Up Through The Dash.

Well, I had to install a new cigarette lighter for the phone, ect. And while I was in there, I got to thinking and I just hardwired my radar straight to the harness. Now my question is, whats the best way to run that wire up and out of the center vent ontop of the dash? I found one post on it, but it didnt explain much. Do I have to remove the entire dash? Is there and easier Way?
David.

its pretty annoying, the way i did mine in my 00' si was i ran the wire from the top through the ac vents that defrost the front wind shield. then i drilled a lil hole in the bottom of the ac vent where u can access it from under the dash. then u just gotta keep playing with the wire til you see it thur the hole then just splice it into the cigarette lighter.

=Caution- Dumb Question=
Can anyone tell me if its a huge hazard to run my radar wire through the defrost vent. I want to hide the wire, but it sounds like a dumb idea
(This isn't for a Teg)

just tuck in the wire behind the dash and down and around.

one suggestion, you could use a rattle can makeover to make the Radar Detector more stealthy, but it still is clean nontheless

If you run it behind the dash like suckmydohc said, then you wouldn't have to run it through the defroster vent. No one's gonna see it, and if it hangs or something, just use zipties.

You don't want to run it in there because it can get from "extreme" cold -> hot -> cold, etc. That is not good for the wire. That's why when you install gauges, etc, people recommend you block off vents that point toward the unit & wiring, or re route the wiring.

JUST FIND WHERE YOU CAN START FROM AND THEN JUST SNAKE IT THREW WITH A COAT HANGER OR OSMETHING THAT U CAN LEAD THE WIRED IN YOU KNOW ITS EASY TRUST ME JUST TAPE THE WIRE AT ONE END OF THE WIRE AND STICK THE WIRE AND SEE WHERE IT GOES AND SO ON AND .....THATS TRUE ABOUT ITS GETS VERY HOT AND COLD UNDERTHIER SO YOU MIGHT WANNA BE VERY CAREFUL WHERE U PUT IT
