Remove ECU Antitheft????

Okay guy my car alarm broke a while back and while I know it really does not matter alarm or not I have some security. Do you think it is a good idea to take my ecu out of the car when I go somewhere I think the car could be stolen? The car will not run on an untuned ecu and I dont think car theifs carry ecu's around with them??? Good or bad idea?

Tell that to the theif that got caught in my car and the cops left a spare p28 and a 99 si unit. That the theif had. And they left the vise grips. Most smart crooks come prepared.
