remote wiring....
okay so i got the wiring for my amp.. i want to install it myself .. ig ot the wiring and everything and have the fuses connected with the battery... just need help on the remote wire... i was told that this was just power.... are all remotes colored blue? or do i just connect this wire to the ignition wire?

You can either hook the wire off of the remote lead on the head unit, this way the amp will power up when the head unit is on, or you can wire the remote lead off of an unused fuse in the fuse block under the dash, this way the amp will power on when the ignition is turned on. If wiring under the dash, you can just pull out a fuse, twist the remote lead around one side of the fuse and plug the fuse back in. Most remote leads are blue, it is just simply a way to tell the amp when to turn on.

Do not just pull a fuse and cram the wire in and reinstall fuse
not only is that getto, it can damage the fuseholder by spredding the holder out, so when you remove the wire the holder no longer holds the fuse leg tightly, it will lead to intermitant problems, that can be a pain to find, as fuse is not blown.

Good point. Do it the right way once, not the wrong way several times.
