Remote start problems on a 00 integra
I have an automatic 2000 integra GS and i have the alarm hooked up just fine but the remote start has me for a loss. i hooked up the wires and all my electronics turn on and my car turns over and the fuel pump kicks on and it sounds like it wants to start but wont. I think it might not be getting spark but not sure? Anyone have any ideas?
I do have a green blinking key light that comes on when i turn off the car. Where can i get an immobilizer bypass? How much? should i go with a universal one or one for my car, dos it matter? how hard is it to install?

Does the key light blink when the car fails to remotely start?
You can get the bypass at any place that installs alarms or online.

If i put the key in the ignition and then armed the alarm and then tryed the remote start would that determin if i need the bypass. If the key was just put in the ignition but not turned then shouldent the remote start work?
Yes, remote start should work with the key in the ignition. If the car fails to start, but the key light doesn't blink, you have a problem with the car or the remote start. Maybe your crank time is not long enough.
The bypass costs $30-40 depending on where you get it. For the universal one to work, you need to leave a key in the car. The car-specific ones learn the key code, and they don't need a key to work. The installation takes some time. You will need to cut and solder a few wires. I can't say how hard it will be for you, because I don't know your soldering/electronics skills/experience.

does your teg have a black ring around the key cylinder? It has the immobilizer. Does it blink a green key when attempting to start. It has a immobilizer. Put your key to the run position. Then start your car with the controler. I'll bet it will start. 02 pertty much summed it up

Correct. That's how I have my remote start installed in my Accord, because I was too damn lazy to put the 555h in... I just leave my spare in the ignition all the time.

^^^wow
you shouldn't get a 555H module anyways. they suck and besides it probaly won't work with that car. use a 556U. also make sure you have your Tach Input programed to the remote start.
