remote start problem
whenever the car is cold, or the engine is cold the car starts fine with remote start. However if the engine is warmed up, the remote starts tries to start it but no luck. It turns on runs for 1-2 seconds and shuts off. Then tries two more times. Fails both times.
It seems to me like for some reason maybe the rpms dont go high enough when the engine is warm already?
isnt really a major problem but kinda irritating me.

I love it when people ask for help, and others attempt to help by requesting more information, but the original person fails to answer questions asked of him/her....

It can't be the tach signal itself, as the car starts when engine is cold "whenever the car is cold, or the engine is cold the car starts fine with remote start" maybe a poor connection to tach signal that is open when engine warms up.
What do the park lights flash back at you when it fails to start?

Which is it 5 or 6?
5 fast flashes is tach programed.
6 fast flashes is detecting tach before remote start, [engine running]
How did you program the tach, did you use auto tach program or multi speed tach programing?

BTW you still have not answered where you connected the tach sense lead, [5 pin secondary harness #2 purple]

Table 4
Multi-Speed Tach Programming
The system is designed to read a wide range of tach signals produced by newer ignition systems. No manual adjustments are necessary. However, you should go through the tach programming procedure every time a new unit is installed.
1. FLASH the hood pin switch.
Before the 20 seconds have passed.
2. Press and hold the brake pedal.
Press the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously on the transmitter.
The parking lights will flash 4 times.
Release the brake pedal.
3. Start the vehicle and let it to reach regular engine-idle speed.
4. Once the vehicle is idling properly, press and hold the brake pedal until the parking lights flash five times, release the brake pedal: the tach signal is now programmed. LOL I can't believe I got that to work.
