Default relocating battery.. need advice..

i got an optima yellow top battery and it will not fit in the factory location so im getting a battery box from summit and i need to decide on how to run the wires.. i a car audio specialist just lookin for best ideas so i do it right the first time.. i can get monster cable parts for 60% off retail

should i go w/ 0guage or 4 guage wire to run from the battery?? i plan on getting a distribuiton block and new wires for the alternator and fuse box, 8 guage will be good enough for this i know or hope.. im going to ground it to a factory bolt in the rear of the car and possibly adding another distribution block or new battery clamp so i can run the wires to my amps when they get installed.. so pretty much im just lookin for pics and advice on what guage wire to run? thanks

4 Gauge should do it, why 4 or 0, not 2? Your plan sounds fine, just make sure you clean the ground properly and make sure it stays put. I used 8 ga on the alternator and fuse box and it works fine.

I agree with the top post.

Or ditch the Yellow top, and get a Mini-Red. Still alot of CCA's, and since your Alternator will supply the power when the car is running anyhow you'll still get dimming lights reguardless if you run an Optima or not if you exceed what the alternator can put out.

i relocated the battery today and i used 4 guage and 8 guage wire.. it looks very nice and im happy w/ it, all tho the battery is big so it takes up a lot of trunk space im going to have to relocate my ZEX bottle to behind my driver seat but ive been wanting to do that for a while...

why not the mini-red??

cause i got the yellow top for free and wasnt gonna pass it up, once i get my amps and subs back in i will have a capacitor and possibly upgrade the alternator but that isnt gonna be till this summer..
