Default Rear Speakers

Ok I think I blew one of my rear 6x9's tonight it had been rattleing a little for a while but not bad well it really is distorted now. It was a set of Alpines a little over a year old. I really was impressed with the Sound quality which usually I'm not. I wasn't impressed with the short lifespan though and they never really went that loud. Well I need a new set as I don't like just using front speakers and subs and need something to fill in the rear. Right now I'm looking at these which ones do you guys think would be best or do you have any other suggestions? I currently am not running them off an amp just the HU but wouldn't mind being able to do so in the future. I don't want a set of components for the rear either and since I have subs the amount of bass they put out isn't something that matters to me like it does to people without them.
I can't decide if I want to try Alpines another time or not. The set I had before I was really impressed with the SQ I'm not sure if all there speakers are like that. I need to get into a store to demo some but then half of them are blown anyway.

what headunit are you using stock or a brandname hu ? running a amp to your speakers is a night and day difference.

I once used rear speakers but now just rely on my front stage. Those alpines are pretty good had those in my mom's accord. Good luck

They are loud if you have them with an amp. The ear wax in my ear started to hurt!
I installed 2 alpines in my moms car and shes had them for like 3 almost 4 years in that car and no problem. So i think you just might of had a retard one or something happened to them

They are loud anyway. I'm using an aftermarket JVC Aresonal HU. I just don't see a need for an amp for the rear speakers right now althouhg I may add one in the future. I tried just front stage and subs and just don't like it I need a little sound in the rear. I like teh Boston Acustics brand better and they make some nice stuff but those just didn't look that great compared to the others but I don't know I'm still looking.
