Default radio removal help

hey guys, I have a 2002 Accord EX and I recently disconnected my battery, meaning I need to get the code for the stock radio to work again. any help you guys can offer on removing the radio and getting the serial number from it? also, I would like to someday add on to my audio system in the car, but I would also like to keep my factory six disck changer? will I still be ok. Thanks a bunch in advance.

Look in the glove box for a 5 digit number. That would be your radio security code.

If the code's not there (which is probably isn't), then to remove the radio, you'll need to remove two philips screws from bottom edge of the climate control/radio bezel. Then, with a small flat head screwdriver, GENTLY pop out the clock by prying from the left or right edge to expose one philips screw. Remove that, and the whole bezel will unclip from the dash.

I forget if there's 10mm or philips screws securing the radio into the dash...

It is phillips screws that hold the radio in place.
