Default radio question....

ok I have an ej1 and have a problem with my radio. All the time I would turn the radio up (volume) the radio would turn off. So what I did was just buy a new radio, since mine was like 10 years old, and I tried it out and yes it was the radio that was bad. My problem that I am still having is that the last owner of this car cut all the wire off for the oem harness and just did some stupid work to just the radio work. So now I don't know what wires go where and there is wires all over the place. I got the radio working but only one side I have sound because the wires are loss and just shorts everywhere, so I was thinking was just buy the whole under dash harness to get rid of all the shorts and all the cut wires. I need advise should I buy this or not? Please go to this link, thanks EJ ITO

Alright, first, you don't need to bump your thread after an hour.

Second, you don't need that rats nest of a wiring harness. You can get a replacement harness at Best Buy for like $18.

Then, go to http://www.installdr.com for the wiring chart. Solder & heatshrink your connections and you're done.

Please note that if you reinstall the factory plug, you'll need the appropriate wiring harness to go from the car's plug to the radio.
