Default Radio going out randomly?

My girlfriend's Dual Headunit lately has been acting up lately, and I honestly cannot figure out what the problem is. What is happening is that we will be listening to the radio, and it will randomly just go to static on all channels. I can however switch to CD, and it will play just fine. I have reinstalled the headunit twice and still cannot figure out what is going on. Has anyone else had a problem similar to this, and if so, what did you do to fix it? Thanks

I have checked the antenna hookup in the back, and its plugged completely in.

First of all, your main problem is that it's a Dual.

If it's resetting and working fine when you switch sources and then back again, it's most likely a logic problem in the deck, which is not something you can fix.

It sounds like it either needs repair or replacement... Hope you bought some sort of service plan or extended warranty with that deck...

The only other possibility, [if it's not a problem in the HU itself] is you have an intermittent problem with your cars ant.

Let me ask you this... is the problem there on both AM and FM, if yes then it could be an ant. problem, if no, [no problem on either the FM or the AM] then the problem is definitely in the HU, and sorry it's not worth repairing unless it is under warranty.
Where did you get it and who installed it, [originally] 94
