Radio Code Doesn't Work
A couple days ago, I got my battery replaced on my 1992 Honda Accord EX which naturally reset the radio and asked me to enter a CODE. I have the code and the serial number on the little card but it wasn't in the glove box at the time I got the new battery so I guessed from memory about 3 times with no luck then when I got home, entered the correct code several times with no luck. Tried again 3 hours later, nothing. Again the next day several times throughout the day, nothing. Why is the radio not accepting the correct code? It has in the past. This is the first time something like this has ever happened. Can the dealer help?
i've found the quickest route to reset the radio if you enter the wrong code 3 times is to just pull power to the radio again. then enter the correct code.
as for the correct code being labled as wrong... well, I have no clue unless maybe the card got switched for a different one in the past.
