I got a 96ex accord yesterday from an auction and the only thing that I was pissed about is that it needs a security code for the radio. how do i get that code? there was no sticker in any of the books or nothing under the ashtray or on the sides of the glove box. do i have to take it to the dealer and get raped for a fee?

P.S. How do i get rid of that stupid *** smiley face and put something else there?

no choice on this one man...same thing happened to my lude when i got my alarm installed need security code...."only way" to get the code is too tear the deck out and find the id code on it and go to a local honda dealership where they look it up...gunna cost ya 5 bucks thou

 

All you need is the VIN number to the car. My local Acura dealership used to do it for free for me.

 

Nizzy, give me the sn (serial number) off of the radio , i will get it at work tomorrow for you.
