Radar detector positioning?? does it matter?
Hey guys , I just found an old radar detector .. (its old) its called early warning.. but i'm wondering if how i mounted it matters? I mounted it upside down and on an angle like this where the back is here / and front on this side the buttons and everything are facing me .. it looks clean too but its above my rear view, and fascened to the headliner.. would this affect its performance? one being upside down 2 being above the rear view by 3 inches? and also the angle , the lights and buttons are more visible because of the tilt .. it has the same angle as the winshield?? any answers??
Thanks in advance?
Thanks in advance?
Position it so all sensors can see out of windows. If it is only forward detecting then it is probably fine. If it has rear sensors you will probably need to lower it a little to get the rear waves.
The higher the better, except if your car has one of those tint strip across the top. You may also want to see if you own one of the cars listed in this article.
