Default quick remote turn on wire Q

i dont want my amp to always be on. I want to make sure that it is ok to install a switch on the remote turn on wire. I have a sony xplod 480 watt and I have heard bad things about them overheating. thanks

yes it is okay to install a switch on your remote wire...i did this awhile back...not too sure if sony amps tend to overheat...

If you wanted to be really smart you could install a thermostat switch in the remote wire to switch it off when it gets too hot or you could have it turn on a fan
