Default question from a guy that know little about audio...

Well, I got an aftermarket CD player for my 1994 honda civic ex coupe and put the wire harness adapter that was required to hook it up to that civic on it. Now I just got a 1996 civic dx hatch. Is it possible to put the stock 1996 radio into the 1994 civic and the 1994 aftermarket radio into the 1996? I guess my real question is are the plug harnesses identicle plugs and is the shape of the radios the same for both cars?

My guess would be that if the shape and set up of the stock radio exterior is different there is a good change the wireing harnesses are to. I would search google and find the to seperate products and visualy compare them. You ought to be able to by a adapter between the wireing harnesses so you don't have to crimp and solder and crap.
