what kind of amp are you using and the w6 is more powerfull speaker. and your box could be screwed

One speaker can't be more 'powerful' then another.
The W6 is more oriented towards sound quality. W3 is considered slightly lower end, but still quite good. Given the same amount of throw, a 12 will always be louder then a 10, due to being able to move more air. Personally, I would stick with the W6 and optimize the box, but it's your call.

It is very important that the sub is in the proper sized box, and that it has the right amount of power going to it. also depending on what imp. the VCs are, 2,4 or 6 ohms the efficincy is diff. on the 12w6v2 it is 86.7dB for 2ohm, 86.9dB for 4ohms, and 86.9db for 6ohms on the 10w6vD4 only available in a 4ohm its efficincy is only 83.7dB and thats a 3dB diff. all ratings are at 1W/1m

Actualy the w6 is more power hungry if you have one then you now what im talking about. Some subs just want way more power. and if you dont give it to them they dont sound good. I have had a jl 15w3 and now a 15w6 and there is a difference the amp that I used didnt work well with the w6 it was a keenwood. I had to get more juice so I went to an autoteck mx1300 and now its right. If he has a bobo amp and he is trying to run a more powerfull sub then what he was running then it wont sound good.

Some subs are more efficent then others, this is true. But making sound is about moving air. A larger cone moves more air then a smaller one and the farther a cone moves, it will move more air. So... given the same amount of cone movement, a larger speaker will always be louder then a smaller one. Thats all I am trying to say.

you can have a 10w7 and it will be loud but the 15w3 will just drop lower, may not be as clean but will pund
