question about amps????
I have 3 amps that I want to hook up in my car and I was wondering what the best setup would be as in buying a dual amp kit or what and can you just hook all the amps to one distributor or what im kinda new to all the audio stuff but I was wondering what the best setup was to run the 3 amps one for the front speakers, one for the rears, and one for my subs. I already have one amp hooked up so what would I need to buy to hook the other 2 up to my system? Yes I do have an aftermarket HU with 3 preamp outputs.
i would recomend a headunit with front, rear, and subpreouts so you have control over every thing from the head unit. As far as distribution goes you can either use a distribution block with like a four gauge in and 4 eight gauges out, and you can do this because the shorter the power wire run the smaller gauge wire you can use, but you could also use a power capicator as the power distribution. it all depnds on what you want to do and what amps you got and how much power they need.
well i have a kicker 600.1 monoblock amo for my kicker solo baric 12 and I have a kenwood 800.2 channel amo for my 2 alpine type s's 6'9's and a legacy 400.2 channel amp for my alpine type s's 6'5' in hte front so would I need a capacitor to runt he system or would running the battery just be enough to power everything?

iwould recomend getting at least a one farad cap becasue thats going to be alot of current draw on the alternator and unless you've upgraded you altenator it will recieve damge. so I would recommend 4 gauge to the cap and from there run 4 gauge to the sub amp, a 8 guage to each of of the 2 channels from the cap. AS far as the headunit ges it should be work great with your system,
