Proper headunit setting for the 12w6v2
So today I put the Kenwod excelon kdc-x794 head unit. Hooked up the Alpine M1000 in Series (around 350 watts) for the Jl 12w6v2-d4. I was wondering about how to have the settings on the head unit. There is bass boost, subwoofer, etc etc.... so many I dont know what to do with. I'm just a little lost.
How should I set these
Head unit
-Equalizer(bass frequency's) -9 to +9
-I keep the bass boost off
-Subwoofer level -15 to +15
x'over subwoofer (default set to 120hz)
-Slope -6db/Oct to -24db/Oct
-Phase normal or reverse
Also how should I tweak the x'over for the rear 6x9's
Plus the x'over for the front 6.5's
The amp
Gain -12 to +12
Bass eq Odb to +12db
Lp filter 55hz to 200hz
the box is tuned to 32 hz

nvm. After some research and some tweaking I got it just right. I had it wired up in series and when I turned it up it was not too loud and would clip. Then decided to wire it in parallel and turn everything back down and tune it again. It was soooo much louder and just as clean. I'm just shocked at how loud and clean it sounds. Even when I crank up the volume there is no clipping and it sounds just perfect.
