i have a viper 7900 on a 99 civic and it works fine and all other than when i lock my car the remote doesnt show the car as being locked it still has the unlocked icon on there, anyone have any idea as to why this might've happened? the remote and alarm are still communicating but the remote no longer beeps when i lock or unlock it but it does show the little antenna icon when i press those buttons. i already tried taking out the battery which is all i can really do at the moment.

 

It's real easy to change the programming on those remotes by accidentally hitting the little button on the back of the remote. And DEI doesn't provide instructions about how to program them. You probably turned off confirmation. Just try playing with it until you fix it. That's all I remember doing.

 

lol well thanks for the suggestion but i figured it out. My battery was going dead or at least during cold crank so my remote could send the signal to the alarm brain but the brain didnt have enough power to send the signal back to my remote.
