Default Problem with interior lights/dimmer

I installed my deck last night and reinstalled just right now because i wanted a cleaner install. After i reinstalled it, my gauge cluster and climate control lights don't light up anymore. And when i switch my lights on, the clock light does not dim. I didn't cut any new wires or anythin, so i'm hoping i just blew a fuse?

One thing that did worry me is that one of the wires off my harness that was not being used was not insulated, and so the actual wire was hanging loose inside. Maybe it touched a bracket or something that is metal and caused a fuse to blow? I'm a newbie to all this electronic stuff, so please excuse me if this sounds really stupid.

you didnt hook up illumination did you? hooking up illumination makes your lights do whacky stuff sometimes, if there are no blown fuses check to see that you have capped off all of the orange wires

Thanks for the advice. I checked my fuses and found that the "instrument gauges" fuse was blown. Used my spare one and now things are good, thanks.
