Default Problem with charge on GPS tracking phone...Need help.

I bought this Boost mobile phone with software downloaded into the phone. It tracks the phone every 5-10 minutes, how fast the vehicle is traveling etc...

Here what I did to hide it.I took the phone behind the glove compartment. The motorola car cgarger is running from there behind the dash.I used a car charger extension from walmart and cut off the end and spliced it.I ran the power wire to the ciggarete lighter 10 fuse and stuck in there and then the fuse on top of that.I ran the other wire to a bolt on the floorboard for ground.

The car charger lights up when key is in igniton, meaning it has power. The phone notices device attached and is chargeing.8 hours later the phone is dead.I have to go behind the glove compartment to turn the phone back on everytime.

The fuse isnt blown, all connections are connected. What can it be?What did I do wrong?

Thanks

come on honda fan, we all know that the honda cig lighter does not work when the car is off.You need to tag it to a constant power source. o by the way. Don't put all your eggs in that cell phone basket.

I went out there and was going to turn the phone back on.I look at it and its on and fully powered.I check the tracking website and it has full power now.

I know it doesnt charge unless the car is on.So if the car sits for 24 hours the phone dies is what Im thinking.

Is there another fuse I should wire this up to that will keep it charged while the car is off?I just ran it to a fuse so if theres ever a problem it will blow the fuse instead of catching on fire.

Use the constant power free pin on the under dash fuse box. 94
