Default Price Qoute

Hey fellas i was wondering how much is the average price range to do the labor and material on amping up my speakers in my 00 civic

-I already got a 4 ch amp and a aftermarket head unit (head unit is installed amps is not)

-Speakers are already installed

-I already got a power wire ran for my subs so they can just put spliter on that

So i just need my amp installed and all the wires ran and hooked up now what would you say the average price is for this job i got one qoute that i called a random shop around my area they said 150-180 bucks.

Sounds a little steep for just the labor, unless they are including all the RCAs and power wire in that quote. A average price is $65-80 for the amp install, some shops will charge an additional "R&R" fee for removing the deck, which would put you at $80-100. If all cabling is additional, you would be adding $25-50 for RCAs (depending on quality and brand) and $30-50 for power wire if they will be running a secondary power for the new 4ch.

I would be careful when adding additional amps with your existing power wire unless it is sufficient gauge, 4g should support a second amp, a single 8g run wont cut it and can not be split.

All the RCA's are inlcuded with this quote and power wire they said it might be cheaper if they dont have to change out the power wire

They should not "change out" the power cable, they should add a new one for the 4ch amp, it is better to have separate power leads for the sub amp and high-pass amp anyway.

$175 - $200 is what we would charge, it would include running new 16ga speaker wires to the speakers, including into the doors.94
