Default Powerful CD without using an Amp?

Iám not familiar with the us market of cd players for cars but am looking for one that is as powerful as possible in regular size. I don´t want to load my car up with amps and subs etc.
¨
Anyone with good suggestions?

They're all going to be around 12-16 watts RMS typically. If you go with say an Alpine, you can get an inline 4 channel 45 watt RMS x 4 amplifier that requires no additional wiring (as long as your stock ground and power are heavy enough and fused high enough, though I have yet to run into an issue with any stock wiring).

It's the KTP-445 (http://alpine-usa.com/product/view/ktp-445) and plugs inline with all new Alpine head units (excluding the CDE-100 which is a Panasonic dressed up as an Alpine) and a good bit of older ones as well.

Really, that's the best you'll get if you want it to really "be as powerful as possible" without having to do actual wiring for amps and such. Even with a set of $99 after market speakers, the difference between just an after market head unit and an alpine with that power pack is night and day

like he said, you'll have to find something inline for any "real" power.

Can that alpine KTP-445 be hooked up to any cd player? Or does it have to be a Alpine unit?

Alpine only

For the price of the alpine unit, you can probably get triple the power

Even the Alpine CDA-105, [entry level] is 4x18W RMS into 4 ohms what HU out there is triple the power, even twice the power???

A Pioneer DEH-P8300UB, [same price range] is 4x22W RMS into 4 ohms, not even twice the power and THD is 5%

A Panasonic CQ-RX400U is 4x18W RMS into 4 ohms, THD is 1%

The Kenwood KDC- X895 is 4x22W RMS into 4 ohms, THD on this one, [like the Alpine] is less then 1%

Sony is junk so I won't even mention it.

Am I missing something with "triple the power"???????

The sweed- Any good quality HU that is installed properly, driving some 2 ohm, [properly installed] Infinity speakers will work very well. 94

PS I have family is Sater just south of you, right?

HA ha.. yeah Sater is real close..

That Alpine combo would work but I realy don´t like the alpine HU:s I kind of am biased to pioneer..

I will look in to the infinity stuff. Will any head unit make 2ohms per chanel?

It is the speakers that are 2 ohm, any HU will drive the Infinity 2 ohm speakers, although I would upgrade the 12V constant, [yellow] for the HU and the HUs ground to allow better current supply the stock 12V constant and ground are not thick enough to supply the current needed by aftermarket "high power" HUs.

Best way is to run a fused 12ga lead fromthe batt. to behind the HU and connect the HUs 12V constant, [yellow] to it, use the stock ground but add a 12ga ground strap fromthe HUs chassis to the cars chassis, the ground may not be needed if a metal back strap is used to support the back of the HU, [as it should be] it also may not be needed depending on on the car itis going into. 94

Honestly, I personally don't see why you couldn't splice the alpine amp inline with another head unit, but I know it voids the warranty. I haven't tried yet myself, Alpine may have done like some of the old printer + printer cables where they used two "unused" pins to either complete a circuit between the unit and and amp to make sure it's an alpine head unit, or the same type deal but with a set resistance for the same purpose. One of these days I think I'm going to get one and splice it inline with my AVIC-N3 and see what happens :-)
