Default please help...

hey guys, i have a question and hope that you can help. I was driving down the street the other day when my radio just turns off. I have a sony explode head unit, new front speakers, decent 6x9's in the rear, a 12" sub, 1 amp for the sub, 1 amp for the highs, by the way. I opened the trunk and there was smoke inside! I thought it was a blown fuse so i looked at the fuse next to my battery and it was blown. It was late so i put in a 30 instead of a 40 and my amp starts to smoke again. It was smoking were the fuse is on the amp that powers the sub. What is it? Is it my amp? A bad ground? Any input and help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance and have a great weekend, peace.

Your amp is toast, you need to remove it and have it repaired, also, even if they are small amps,[low watts] a 40 amp fuse may be to small, what size fuses are in the amps? 94
