I remember a couple years back, Walmart used to sell their Pioneer cd players in amber illumination. They were the only ones because the exact same cd players were in other stores in green illumination. Well, my question is...Do any of guys happen to have one of those rare amber illuminated Pioneer CD players?? If so, what is the model number??

 

i don't know which model number, but i remember it being one of the lowest end models of the pioneer line. if that helps any.

All of the Pioneers sold by Walmart were amber though...None of them were really high end models...

 

 

 

1) try searching on yahoo "pioneer amber" - this should bring up a few model numbers

2) Alpine made/makes a few stereos that have amber lighting ie

CDA-7876 - cd only - ebay goes around 150
CDA-7894 - cd/mp3 - ebay goes around 200
CDA-9831 - 512 color combos (including amber) - 200-250
CDA-9833 - 512 color combos (including amber) - 300 ish

Yeah, I tried doing some searches under that also orange display and other combination of keywords but the only thing I found was the european versions of Pioneer cd players which have amber illumination...I wanted to know model numbers so that I can specifically find them on ebay...

I dont know if it's the same for pioneer but alpine units just had a "r" after normal US model numbers

Also the higher end models will be able to change "country settings" in order to accomodate radio frequencies etc etc...

Just for your information.... Europeans prices are much higher than the US prices on the same units. The 9833 unit I bought sells in Europe for 450 easy and everyone is all over it. It's the same thing since you just adjust your country on them...

I know...I noticed how high the prices were on the the pioneers...

 

i have a pioneer cd player that lights up amber..got it with my car when i traded it...give me a price and its all yours..i tested it and it works great and i can get u pix of it too...its like 40x4..let me know

actually, can you post some pics of it...

 

i took some but its to bright outside and it doesnt show the amber really well...i can get some later tonight when its a little darker

it looks kinda pink in this pix but its cause the sun...it looks really good at night...
