Default pics of box progress

ok well here are some pics of the progress of my box. im almost done. i have carpeted everything since i took those pics and i will take some more tomorrow of everything carpeted. i just have to wait till next week for my paycheck and im gonna get an infinity kappa 12 and give it to my g/f and take her infinity reference 12. i don't really want a lot of bass. i also need to get an amp as well. im gonna mount the amp towards the front of the car and run thr wires through the board so everything will be clean looking. lemme know what everyone thinks. the box is almost exact to the sub specs i believe give or take a few cubic inches. its just a sealed box.
I wanna give thanks to my little helper chester who interupts me every 5 minutes with the leash in his mouth after i already took him for a walk

here's more

Can't wait to see it finished, keep it up. IMO, before you carpet it, you should get the amp so you you know the size and shape, that way you can recess it too. That would look sweet.

im gonna put an infinity reference 12 in there. what im doing is buying this infinity kappa 12 from a local shop cause they are selling out of all their infinity stuff (getting it for $75!!!) and im gonna give that one to my g/f probably and take the reference 12 she has and put it in mine. i haven't decided on an amp yet just something that will push about 350 rms at 4 ohms.

do you guys reccommend me leaving the box empty or stuffing it with some polyfill? the specs for the sub say 1.25 cubic feet with once inch of polyfill around the sides. what would sound better? or would it make a difference?

I would stuff it. Polyfill is very cheap, so there is nothing to loose.

If it wasnt so close to x-mas I might take you up on that. However at the moment I need to be saving for my big two week vacation -- and I already have no money as it is *sigh*

well i put a sub in my old accord and the only thing that rattled was my license plate. but as far as keeping the sound in, i might spray in some sound deadening stuff. i decided im probably gonna go with this alpine amp http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi...avf=N the guy at hifi buys told me they were going to be running a sale next weekend and would probably have it for around 150

I'm not exactly sure, its not extremely heavy. with my trunk stripped i had a two finger gap in the back and now with it in (no subs or amp yet) its at one finger.

i actually did a ton of measuring and used the side and the latch as a reference point, drew a circle and cut it out with a jigsaw.
