I went to both Lowes and Home Depot today and neither one had it. I'm gonna try some roofing supply places and see. I have seen a sample of this product though, it looks just like Dynamat extreme. Dynamat Extreme is like $4 sq. ft. at Best buy. This roofing stuff should be about $1 sq. ft.

we have this here in jamaica, its known as 'stop leak' and is used n zinc house tops, also called 'flashban' i think, its pretty easy to find, every hardware store sells it for about a buck a square foot, ive used it to insulate an intake once
tried it on my headers but it malted off
anyway, its like tar, back is silver black sticky stuff on the other side, im gonna save and do my entire car with it!
cheap stuff

LOL....yeah wrapping a header is really a bad idea
yeah as long as its not going to stink like all hell I figure its a cheap alternative to dynamat...I have read people using it with no problems, so seems like a plan to me
as far as it smelling at first I figure I will install it in my trunk, door panels, etc. and then I will lauch an air freshener attack...lol...I figure two 3 packs in the interior and a 3 pack in the trunk should do the trick....

once it dries you wont smell it!
the key is to seal the exposed (tar) sides with silicone, as long as that part is hidden you wont smell anything!
i have some on my roof now!
i do remember it melting in my engine though
that smelt great!
but probably not to you

is the outer layer of this peel and seal stuff silver like the others? i want something that has a black finish to it...anyone know of anything?
in my case, YES, because i have a stripped rear interior due to a roll bar. i was thinking about trying those undercoat rubber sprays, made by 3m, which act as a sound deadener.

How much extra wieght will you be adding from "a couple a layers". Remember more weight means less MPG so in the long run you will spend more money and have a slower car. You don't need to be such an ***. This board is about getting others opinion and I gave mine, didn't know that would make me a clown.
but i really dont see me adding 2 or 3 layers of 'peal and seal' and having worse gas mileage and less power, really dont see that happening yow.......
I bought some peel & seal and used it inside my doors. It dosen't smell all that bad and is way easy to work with. It cost me 50 cents per square foot. That's only 1/16th of what Dynamat extreme costs!!
