Worst part about it is the 30,000+ employees out of jobs...
10% national unemployment here we come...
Also sucks for people that bought extended warranties & service contracts. They're all pretty much SOL.

Anyway, this will be somewhat unfortunate. I work at Chipotle near a Circuit City, some of my favorite customers are Circuit City employees. Guess tomorrow I'll say my goodbyes as they seek other jobs.
Also, coworker was completely unaware of the CC going-under thing until today, hah.
no one is SOL man. Service plans go thru a third party company and will still be honored. GE ASSURANT is the company if anyone is wondering.

imo its a over kill. It up to you how you want to install your alarm. Me I just don't have time nor the need to go that far. But if you got the time and extra money go for it. Please next time start a new thread.

Well they are working on that. I talked to one of my old dm's there. If the other company does go thru with it. Its going to be a headache for you. you now have to ship the product to them for repairs or try to find one of there centers. You paid to have the option to bring it back to your local cc for service. and be done with it. You now have to work for your warrranty. Not what you paid for. Christmas really killed them. Nobody bought gift cards as planned. I really glad they shot themselfs in the foot. So are alot of people. The people that lost there jobs I feel kind of sorry. Not much. They were new hires that took experiance people job so cc could pay them less. What they thought cc gave a hoot about them.
