Is there an Optima battery that drops in to a 98 Integra? If so, what size?

 

i don't think so, at least when i was looking for one six months ago.
so i bought a lightning audio--strike battery. fits fine with 700cca/1200 amp peak discharge.

 

how much did that thing set you back?

 

cost $150.

 

Not to make you feel bad but I bought the red top gel for $105 shipped off ebay..

 

how did you get that battery to fit?

 

The 12 volt optima will not fit into the stock battery location. You can order two 6 volt red cap or yellow cap batteries and fit them sideways in the stock location with some sort of custom bracket. Or you can relocate your battery to the trunk. I had two of the 6 volt red caps in my old integra. If you want to see a picture of how they looked when mounted let me know.

 

Anyone do this? Did you fab up a spot for the battery? Damn it would sure make wiring amps up a hell of a lot easier
