one-wire horn conversion HELP !!!!!!
i am trying to find out how to replace the 2-wire horn in my eg with a set of 1-wire horns. Can somebody please help me i've searched on here for hours...................
1 wire horns ground through the mounting bracket, so make sure when mounting them it is to cars chassis.
You will need a relay to change the polarity, connect the two stock/leads, 12V+ constant and ground to the relays #85 and #86, it makes no diff. which way you connect them, run a fused lead from batt. to #30 of relay and connect the single lead from aftermarket horns to #87 of relay, your done. 94

thanx bro u dont kno how much i appreciate the info..... one more question do i split #87 to both horns or do i run the lead from #87a to the 2nd horn ???
Both horn leads to #87.
Fuse size will depend on what horns need and the wiring you used, the relay will probably be a 20/30 amp, so no bigger then a 30A fuse.
Make sure...
Horns work, use car batt to test, ground horn to batt. neg.(-) and touch lead to pos.(+) post.
Horns are grounded, mount horns and use a jumper lead from batt. pos.(+) to touch horn lead.
Make sure the two stock leads, [OEM horn wires] have power and ground, one will be 12V+ the other will be a ground, one of them will be "switched" controlled by the horn button, I do not have an EG wire schematic for horn so I do not know if it is the 12V+ or ground that is switched, test for both. 94
