OK? Why dosn't my CD player work?
Ok, the other day i left my lights on and my battery died. (no big deal) I asked this guy i work w/ to jump my car. He hooks up the jumper cables WRONG! and blows my battery fuse! So today i got a new battery (mine was real old) and a new fuse. I hook everything up and the car starts. Everything inside works (heat,lights,a/c,ect.) but my cd player won't come on? I checked the fuse and it was fine. What else could it be?
I will be in the garage playing w/ it
I will let you know if i fix it. thanks

there are a few fuses involved with the power of your deck. in a lot of the older vehicles the dome light circut is the same circut as the constant power. also check the fuse on the power line directly behind the deck. if they are both good get your hands on a multimeter or a test light and check your constant power, switched power and your ground on your deck to see if it is even getting power and a good ground. on the pioneer decks if you reverse the power and ground you might have to take it to a repair shop and have the internal output power supply replaced. Good luck with it !
Son of a bitch! I checked every fuse twice and found nothing! So i called my friend that works at napa and he told me that if you hook up the jumper cables wrong it can mess up anything that comes in contact w/ the battery to the ecu! And you can even blow your ecu. Luckily i didn't do that. But i probly burn't something up in my CD player. So tomarrow i have to take it apart and play around w/ it. So just to let you guys know don't be a dumb **** like me! And hook up your jumper cables wrong.
