Default New sub box/amp rack almost done 56k caution...

It's pretty much done I just need to put a piece of plexiglass over the amp and mount a tube of neon on the rear deck to shine down on the amp. The subs have neon already. I think it looks pretty good for my first try. Let me know what you guys think...

From outside the car

From inside with the rear seat folded down

I keep seeing more and more trunk installs with subs facing up like that...how does having the sub firing up effect the sound you get?

Be careful with that. You don't want to seal up the amp too much. It needs to stay cool and breathe.

Yeah, basically I am going to put two pieces of MDF on each end of the amp to support the plexi. The side next to the box actually gets air from the woofers pushed across and the other side is open next to the back of the rear seat. I don't think it will over heat.

Mine sounds better then the old box, but I think that is because this new set-up is built to the woofers specs instead of a pre-fabbbed box. I built the box like that so my wife could have more room in the trunk for groceries and such. The old box filled up most of the trunk because of the strut tower bar.

add carpeted trim pannels around the amp so you dont see bare wood. otherwise looks nice
