need instruction to mount subs in box

ok, might sound silly but...
i will be buying a box and puting in the subs myself, now i have them in the 'parcel' shelf right now, held down with a few small self-tapping screws
not exactly air tight if you know what i mean, now i have no idea how to mount them and i know i'd mess it up
>what screws do i buy? nuts and bolts be better?
>do i need a rubber gasket? my subs have none, silicone work? let it dry on sub?

use a fine thread stinger. (Looks like a 1" sheetrock screw. Enamel coated works best for me.) I use these all day long and have yet to have any trouble out of them.
