So I bought a used car which already has a Viper 500HF alarm installed.
As is typical its a terrible job!
So the previous owner told me he got sick of the alarm so he removed one of the fuses.
Now I would like to sell the car and the alarm is at least a small selling point.
So my problem is when I put the fuse back in the alarm goes off. I then try to disarm it using the key and the valet switch and the remote, but no joy.
Anyone have any ideas? Anyone installed one of these and have the install manual, all I have is the owners manual which is basically just advertising.

You might be able to find the manual in the "alarm manual" section linked in the security thread in the FAQ sticky at the top of the forum.
You probably need to reprogram the remote to the alarm since it's been uplugged for so long. Because of the code hopping, it will be out of sync.

+1 on that, but if it's not disarming with the valet switch and key, then either the code was changed, the op isn't doing it right, or something's fubar

MonkeyPuzzle make sure you are pressing the valet button and not the VRS button...
