Well..

It activates fine.

Handbrake up, in neutral, pull out key and the system arms itself..
The normal procedure..

However, when I go to activate my remote starter afterwards, I get the 3 beeps as if it was never activated to begin with

Why?!

 

have you been able to start with it before??? It will not go into reservation mode if you do it all with the clutch still in.

 

when you take the key out does it stay running? you have any hood pins hooked up? if so check there connections, sometimes compustars just need to be reset, unplug the brain and plug it back in. Compustar wont tell you that, but i sell compustar and have installed over 500 units , and have seen many that just need resetting once in a great while

 

It has worked fine before.. and the car stays running when the key is out..

EVerything is as normal as it was before.. except now, it no longer remote starts/

 

do your headlights flash at all when you try to remote start....they usually flash between 1-7 for an error and then you can look in the manual as to why the remote start is not working

 

Mine has done that exact thing before. It goes into reservation mode fine, but when you try to remote start it, it acts like it's not in reservation mode. What has worked for me in the past is to just unhook your battery. Let everything reset. and if you have back up batteries, then you obviously need to unhook that too. Try it out.

yupp, told ya happens to compustar's alot, and they have no answer for it lol take the good with teh bad kind of thing
