Need help with 94 hatchback audio setup
At the time being, I have an old Pioneer cd player with some Pioneer 3 way speakers in the door. I don't know what size they are but the previous owner had made like spacers so the magnet would clear it. They are bigger than stock for sure. It doesn't use the factory bracket/baffle. Would that affect sound quality? I also have EX door panels with the factory tweeters on them. I want to make it sound better like that in my 93 Nissan Pathfinder. I do not have the rear speakers in the back. If I had them, would it help with rear fill?
What kind of setups are you hatchback folks running?

I have a 93 hatch and I have 5 1/4 in front and back. I had to get the speaker kit, but it is defineatly worth it to me. Does yours have some thick black plastic in the front doors for you spacers?
the front speaker you could use 5.25" or 6.5" easy! 6.5 should be better too!!
for rear one you can pourcharse JDM speaker panel that are located in the arm rest in the back, or put some 6X9 on the pieces that hide the trunk!! very easy to do!
if you want to replace the front speaker, you can use a component kit, that will have a cross over and tweeter, you will be able to remove the oem tweeter and put this one, it should sound better!!
