Default NEED help!

everyone. I've spent the last serveral months building on the engine of my car and when it comes down to car audio i am a complete newbie. I just need to ask you guys what you think a good setup would be for a 2000 honda prelude base. I'm thinking of some MB Quarts 6 1/2's in the front but i dont know about the rear speakers, or a sub. I was thinking of a JL audio W7 10'' woofer. Now my buddy has a civic and he has like two rockford punch z 10's with like 150 watts a sub. I think it sounds pretty good. Do you think The W7 would be overkill. I want a system that sounds good and i can crank the bass and still hear what people are saying in the song. So really I'm asking What kind of speakers front and rear, sub, and amp do you recommend for under $1500. I already have a Pioneer deck.

quart 6 1/2 up front is a good start so why not match them with a set of quart 6x9's in the back. do a 5 channel amp with a single 12" sub. i like the new type r alpine subs, cant beat them as far as "bang for the buck". they sound good as well as nice bass. hope this is a suggestion that works for you.

I have a lot of big rockford stuff if you are interested that I am looking to get rid of. My brother is getting my car... so i am taking out all of my audio. I have a Rockford bd1000a1 and some big time 12" HX2's let me know if you want anything, I have a 94 accord and it sounded great, I got pulled over quite few times!
